Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Sometimes we need reminders about all those things to be thankful for in our lives. Simply waking up today means you have something wonderful to be thankful for:)
Here’s my challenge to you: Take some time today, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, to come up with a gratitude list. Here is my 10;
- I am thankful for my health. A year ago today I was home recovering after my double mastectomy. It's been a tough year since than... Gaining my health back is the biggest gift of all. I am thankful for all the days of my life I have lived so far and for all the days I have yet to live.
- I am thankful for my family, especially for my 2 amazing kids. Thank you for choosing me as your mom!
- I am thankful for my mom. Thank you for giving me life, thank you for your unconditional love, thank you for always putting my needs before yours, thank you for always being here for me and adding love to everything that you do!
- I am thankful for my friends and community. Thank you all for the support and encouragement you have given me over the last year, by delivering meals, sending flowers, sending postcards simply saying "I am thinking of you", helping me with the kids, arranging playdates or just with a simple phone call/text asking "How are you today?" I could not have done this without you. I love you all and words cannot express how gratetful I am to have you all in my life:)
- I am thankful for being able to do what I love for work. As Confucius once said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
- I am thankful for living in a city where I wake up to a sunny day almost every day of the year.
- I am thankful for my bed. Haha yes, I just love getting cozy in my bed every night, sipping hot tea and read.
- I am thankful for having the means and access to fresh, organic, food every day and I know that my body thanks me for eating healthy, nutritious foods.
- I believe that everyday is an opportunity to learn something new and I am thankful to be able to do that in many different ways.
- And last but not least, I am thankful for the internet. Seriously, how did we even survive before the internet?
